Standard material
Standard self piercing rivet is made of super steel wire as raw material and manufactured by forging, hardening and quenching and tempering. It can provide the best riveting performance in a wide range of applications.
Special material
- austenitic stainless steel self piercing rivets - used to rivet stainless steel plates of lower hardness;
- martensitic stainless steel rivets - for riveted stainless steel plates with high hardness that can not be joined by austenitic stainless steel rivets;
- copper rivets - used for riveting special plates, such as copper, brass and plastic sheets;
- aluminium rivets - used to rivet aluminum sheets of lower hardness.
Rivet hardness
Rivets are produced at different hardness levels to meet the requirements for riveting of different riveted panels. Generally, the hardness of the rivet increases with the thickness and / or hardness of the riveted plate.
